An eatery employee used to be on Friday arrested for allegedly raping an eight-year-old woman within her house in his neighbourhood, police right here stated.

“An FIR used to be lodged in an instant on the Sector 24 police station and an investigation used to be introduced into the subject. The accused had long gone into hiding after the incident however used to be held close to a college in Sector 22 as of late following a tip-off,” a police spokesperson stated.
The 18-year-old accused works at an eatery store in Noida and hails from Aligarh district. He lives in the similar neighbourhood as the lady and used to be identified to her circle of relatives, continuously visiting their house, too, the legitimate stated.
The FIR has been lodged below phase 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and below provisions of the Coverage of Youngsters from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the police stated.
The accused used to be produced in a neighborhood courtroom which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody, the police added.
